The Senior Wealth Planner is a senior-level planning professional responsible for delivering comprehensive financial planning services to clients across a wide range of complexity. This role centers on gathering and organizing client information and developing comprehensive financial plans from initial analysis through recommendation design, presentation, and follow-up. The position requires the ability to assess complex client circumstances, apply sound judgment, and translate technical planning issues into clear, practical guidance that supports client decision-making and the firm’s broader wealth management objectives. This work is performed collaboratively with the client, the client’s portfolio manager, and the client’s tax and legal advisors to ensure recommendations are well coordinated and aligned with the client’s overall financial picture.
In addition to direct client planning work, the Senior Wealth Planner serves as an internal resource to the firm by contributing technical research and analysis, reviewing the work of other planning team members, and helping elevate the overall quality of planning deliverables. The role also includes active participation in department initiatives such as process improvement, planning content development, communications, software and vendor coordination, and other operational and strategic priorities established by wealth management leadership. Overall, the position is designed for an experienced planner who can combine client-facing expertise with internal leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to strengthening the firm’s wealth planning capabilities and client experience.
Five to ten years of experience in financial planning or wealth management
Bachelor's degree
CFP® or other advanced planning designations
Proficiency in planning software and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
