Work Schedule 

This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury’s Salem office. This position will work from the office one day per month, with additional days in the office, as needed.  

During the initial training period, employees are expected to be in the office more frequently to support onboarding, learning, and collaboration.  

Salary Range 

$66,900-$102,600 annually.  

Effective February 1, 2026, the compensation plan for this position will be increased to reflect a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of 2.5%. The salary listed in this posting does not reflect the COLA. 

Job Classification 

This position is classified as an Internal Auditor 2. This position is a SEIU represented position. 

Required Minimum Qualifications  

• 5 years of experience performing professional level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission; OR 

• A Bachelor’s degree in business-related field such as business or public administration, finance, economics, computer science, accounting; or a field specific to the Agency's mission AND 2 years of experience performing professional level auditing, investigations, compliance, policy/program, or work closely related to the agency mission.

• Describe the most complex audit you worked on, what made it complex, and what your role was. 

• Describe your experience handling multiple audits at the same time and highlight your ability to keep them on track and on budget.   

• Describe your approach to resolving conflicting interpretation of compliance standards between you and the auditee. Please provide examples.
