Key Responsibilities:
Oversee General Accounting operations, including the management of the General Ledger and grant funds.
Lead the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with external tax professionals for efficient tax management and filing.
Manage grants and ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines and post-award duties.
Coordinate with the University Advancement team for effective management of investments and endowments.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong grasp of financial statements and tax management.
Proficiency in financial accounting systems and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in accounting or related field, with a CPA or CMA certification.
Familiarity with ERP systems such as Ellucian Colleague, Synoptix Financial Reporting, and MS Excel.
Prior experience in university accounting, auditing, and grants management is a plus.
