McCoy Foat & Company CPAs, P.C. an established CPA firm in West Linn, OR, is seeking a full-time individual with public accounting and tax preparation experience. CPA, JD or EA preferred but not required. This position will work with individuals, trusts, estates, and small to mid-sized companies in various industries. We prefer an Oregon-based employee but are open to out of state for the right candidate.

Minimum 7 years public accounting experience is required. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

The successful candidate must be able to work autonomously and be able to perform the following with limited supervision:

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses, estates and trusts.
• Primary point of contact for multiple key clients
• Research tax questions and counsel clients on tax needs.
• Develop tax plans for clients.
• Perform tax research and advise clients on various tax matters.
• IRS/State tax audits and correspondence.
  • If licensed, be involved directly in the audit including drafting of responses and meeting with taxing authorities.
• May Prepare compiled or reviewed financial statements.
• Direct contact with clients including tax interviews and information requests.
• May provide bookkeeping or bookkeeping cleanup services.
• May provide support for consulting, valuation or litigation engagements
• Provide insight and training to other staff on tax and accounting topics.
