Summary: Responsible for the efficient functioning of the accounting department. Supervises and monitors accounting staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Assists the controller and CFO with the financial responsibilities of the organization.
Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff, including accounts payable and payroll
Approves Accounts Payable transactions, including vendor invoice coding and check runs
Monthly recording of cash and accrual revenue, adjustments, and refunds
Reconciles Revenue monthly
Maintains and updates Lockbox
Prepares quarterly physician referral allocation
Prepares monthly overhead allocation
Review and posting of monthly recurring journal entries
Updates and maintains chart of accounts
Coordinates monthly and year end close
Maintains organized set of detailed records and files to document financial transactions
Prepares monthly financial statements for review by management, region and board of directors
Prepares documentation for bank compliance
Cash management, including reconciling daily bank activity to general ledger, submitting bank transfers, and preparing daily statements to various groups
Maintains and updates the financial reporting software
Prepare monthly financial reports for LLC investments
Prepares LLC distributions to investors
Prepares monthly payroll withholding for investors in various LLC’s
Maintains COGS record for inventory
Reviews general ledger monthly to ensure accuracy of posting
Coordinates year end audit and financial tax preparation
Calculates annual Profit-Sharing accrual
Graduate of a bachelor’s or other four year degree program.
Five to seven years experience in Health care.
Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
