The Accounting Division of the Bureau of Revenue and Financial Services (BRFS) is excited to announce one Accountant IV opening.
The position will report to the Accounting Supervisor of the Financial Reporting section. The primary focus of this position is to provide governmental accounting expertise through responsibility for major sections of the City's annual Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), researching Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to determine compliance City-wide, and the analysis and implementation of new GASB pronouncements. The Accountant IV also provides lead direction to others in the Accounting class by overseeing the completion of various accounting and financial reporting projects. The position will be working with City bureaus and must handle competing priorities in a professional and diplomatic manner. The ability to maintain confidentiality is also very important.
