The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare is recruiting for an executive level Division Administrator to oversee Contracts and Procurement Services, Financial Services, Audits and Investigations, and Facility Services for the State's largest agency. This position is instrumental in supporting Department programs designed to help people live health and productive lives, while strengthening individuals, families and communities. The Department consists of nearly 2,900 employees working at 40 offices, two hospitals, two residential care facilities and a state laboratory.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage complex business operations, a strong financial background, and demonstrate creative problem-solving in order to adhere to state rule and statute while also improving business operations. The will also have a strong desire to belong to and advocate for an organization whose purpose is to better the lives of Idaho individuals and families. Effective communication, system thinking and relationship building skills are essential.

Considerable experience managing a program, division or department and demonstrated leadership and supervision experience of professional staff.
Strong background, preferably in the public sector or highly regulated environments, in business process analysis, contract management, facility services, human resources, procurement processes and productivity improvement.
Considerable financial management and business experience in financial policy evaluation and development, cash management, general accounting, and financial forecasting/reporting.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or other closely related degree is required. BA with a business area of emphasis or business experience could qualify.
Strongly prefer applicants with CPA, CFM, or MBA.
